Ph.D. Workshop
The PLPR full-day PhD workshop will take place on Monday, 1 May 2023 from 9 AM to 5 PM at the Art & Architecture Building on the University of Michigan's north campus, an easy bus ride from central campus. The workshop is designed for PhD students at any stage, whose research is relevant to the intersection of planning, law, and property rights. The conference encourages applications from students in planning, law, economics, real estate, geography, political science, public policy or related fields.
Highlights:
-
mentoring from experienced researchers
-
clarifying key questions about your PhD project
-
professional and social networking with your peers in the workshop
Please note, the PhD workshop is an extension of the PLPR Conference—not a stand-alone event. In order to participate, PhD students must submit an abstract for a regular paper (or a paper to a special session) for the PLPR conference and present at the conference. Passing the abstract review process is a prerequisite for participation in the PhD workshop. Additionally, PhD students have to submit a short description of their PhD research project (including problem setting, research question, hypothesis, theoretical background, research methods, status of the research, problems faced), maximum 3 pages, before 1 March 2023, by sending an email to PhD coordinators: phd@plpr-association.org.
If you have questions regarding the PhD workshop, please contact PhD coordinators: phd@plpr-association.org.
