Conference Registration



Required Conference Registration


Registration is open through April 3 (midnight EST)



Please Note: Registration closes at the end of the day April 3; no registrations will be accepted after that date.


Optional Events




You will have the option of registering for one or both of the following free receptions:

  • Tuesday, May 2 (evening): Welcome Reception

  • Wednesday, May 3 (evening): Musical Event and Reception


Tickets for two drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be provided for each of these events (cash bar for additional drinks).


For planning purposes, please register for these events if you plan to attend, and please attend if you register!


Conference Dinner


You will have the option of registering for the conference dinner, which will be held during the evening of Thursday May 4 at the Zingerman’s Greyline Event Space (see Zingerman's Greyline is located at 100 N. Ashley St. in Ann Arbor, adjacent to the Residence Inn (one of the two conference hotels).


  • Cost: $70 per attendee (with the option to purchase multiple tickets)


Excursions (Wednesday May 3 afternoon)


For the afternoon of Wednesday May 3, you will have the option of registering for one of two coach bus tours of historically and conceptually important places in (1) downtown Detroit or (2) selected suburbs of the larger Detroit Metropolitan Region. (You may purchase multiple tickets for either, if you would like to bring along a partner.)


Rather than a bus excursion, you will also have the option of taking a walking tour of central campus and nearby Ann Arbor environs (multiple registrations allowed).


  • Coach bus tour of Downtown Detroit: $20

  • Coach bus tour of the Detroit Metropolitan Region: $20

  • Walking tour of Ann Arbor: Free!




Registration for the conference requires creation of an Iris account. If you do not already have an Iris account, please see these instructions for creating one.


Payment must be made by credit card. Only the following credit cards are accepted: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discovery Card.


Cancellation and Refund: Once registered, if you wish to cancel your registration for a partial refund, you must provide written confirmation via email. Attendees who cancel before April 1st will receive a refund of fees paid less a $25 non-refundable administrative fee, 2-3 weeks after the request is received. Attendees who cancel after April 1 but before April 15th will receive a refund less $150 to cover administrative and obligated conference costs. Refunds will not be issued after April 13th for any reason. Cancellation requests should be sent by email to Please indicate PLPR 2023 in the subject line of your email. Cancellation requests cannot be made by phone.
